Melissa Erin

Inspired by everything from 21st century Americana acts to 1970s folksingers, Melissa Erin makes classic American roots music for the modern world. It's an honest sound, delivered by a songwriter who prioritizes old-school values like raw, real performances and organic instrumentation. A New York native, Melissa grew up in the Hudson Valley, not far from musical destinations like Woodstock and Levon Helm Studios. Rock, folk, and soul music were in the air, and those sounds influenced her own songwriting. Melissa's burgeoning career eventually took her to Nashville, where she performed at bucket-list venues like the Grand Ole Opry as a sideman for other artists before reintroducing her music to larger audiences with solo material like "What Ya Love" and "Indigo Skies." These songs may feature contributions from some of Nashville's most celebrated instrumentalists, but it's Melissa Erin's star that shines the brightest, positioning her as one of the newest voices in Americana.
