Jacob Badiei Emran

artist-img
Jacob Badiei-Emran is an emerging Psychedelic Folk artist born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. After going viral on Tik-Tok for writing an upbeat folk tune about how he got shot with an AK47 the day before, he moved from North Carolina to Nashville, Tennessee to further his music career. His influences range from the Delta Blues music of Son House and Charley Patton, the Psychedelic music of the 60s, all the way to the more traditional Carnatic and World Music that he grew up with. While also borrowing heavy inspiration from the likes of Flying Lotus and Madlib, he takes a unique approach incorporating the Roland 404 sampler throughout his set, treating it as both a separate instrument and as a means to an end for the otherworldly textures that create his sound.
