J Lind is an alt-folk artist from Phoenix, now based in New York City. Drawing on the pointed lyricism of Dawes and the epic soundscaping of Sufjan Stevens, Lind cut his teeth touring the UK pub circuit in 2017 before moving to Nashville to record his first album, For What It’s Worth (2019), which culminated in a guest performance at the Ryman Auditorium. In 2022, Lind embarked on “The Possum Redemption Tour” coast-to-coast in support of his sophomore record, The Land of Canaan (2021). His third and latest album, Alchemy (2023), fuses oceanic electronica with finger-picked acoustic musings to meditate on the observation that many of our most alchemical experiences are unexpected, unforgettable, and unearned.
