HIGHWAY NATIVES is an Americana roots-rock 5-piece celebrating a low country revival with influences from their heroes such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Eagles, Tom Petty, and Little Feat while admiring the bona fide damn good songwriting from contemporaries like Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, and The Wild Feathers. Highway Natives bring a sound tinged with rich soulful harmonies, artful full-bodied stylings on lead guitar, and a rhythm section that’s groovy timekeeping is nestled tightly underneath singable, authentic, and raw lyrics.
Highway Natives originally formed in early 2019 after Kentuckian Brandon Moore and Floridian Jordan Miller found themselves searching for a co-writing partner that was comfortable enough to challenge them, while also being comfortable enough to write cathartically with. They found an escape from the rigorous and hectic music business where they worked behind-the-scenes at a record label and a recording studio. This creative outlet brought them back to their roots and reminded them why they chose a life in music. Miller and More joined forces with Arthur Stover (drums), Artie Scarazzo (bass), and Matt Drummey (lead guitar) and quickly began playing shows all over the southeastern region of the United States. Highway Natives have a full gas tank with a tireless drive to make some noise.
From sold-out stages in Nashville to dive-bars in Macon, Highway Natives have developed a reputation for craftsman quality songwriting and a live show that’s exciting, fun, energetic, and memorable, full of polished spontaneity where anything can happen.
