Brought up in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, Nashville-based indie rock singer-songwriter Caroline Carter’s quiet but mighty sound rings true to the phrase “Everything’s bigger in Texas.” With a perspective informed by having a twin sister, much of Carter’s lyricism centers around growing up, discovering herself as an individual, and the queer southern experience. Influenced by the likes of other female artists such as Lizzy McAlpine, Phoebe Bridgers, and Soccer Mommy, Carter provides heavy-hitting words through a soft-spoken voice–both in and outside of her music.
