While living in Milan and Monza (Italy) from 2019 to 2021, Greg Dorris (guitarist of the band TAYLS) began writing, recording and releasing music under the moniker BALLERINA JONES. After returning to Nashville at the beginning of 2022, Greg was joined by drummer Bryan Moore and bassist BJay Moore (both of the band ONLY) to form Ballerina Jones as a trio. Armed with a Roland SP404 and a portable Zoom H4n1 field recorder, the band utilized lo fi recording techniques to independently produce a new batch of songs in their basement rehearsal space in South Nashville. With two live albums and multiple single releases under their belt, Ballerina Jones looks to release their first LP in the summer of 2024.
