Folk Alliance International’s (FAI) umbrella of folk encompasses the broadest definition including Appalachian, Bluegrass, Blues, Cajun, Celtic, Francophone, Global Roots, Hip-Hop, Indie-Folk, Indigenous, Latin, Old-Time, Traditional, Singer-Songwriter, Spoken Word, Zydeco and every imaginable fusion. FAI's annual conference is the world’s largest gathering of the folk music industry and community, taking place January 22-26, 2020, in New Orleans.
